Privacy Policy
Last updated 8 June 2026
LastLift (“the app”) is built by Thoughtgears, an independent software company in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). The short version: your workout data lives in your own private iCloud — we can’t see it — and the only data we ever receive is anonymous, consent-gated diagnostics that you can switch off at any time.
Your workout data stays in your iCloud
Your exercises, weights, reps, RPE, dates and history are stored on your device and synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit’s private database. We have no backend and no account system, so this data never reaches our servers — only you, signed in to your Apple ID, can access it. Apple’s handling of iCloud is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Diagnostics & analytics (off until you allow them)
To understand how the app is used and to fix crashes, we use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring (provided by Google). These collect anonymous feature and screen usage, crash reports, and performance traces.
- They are disabled by default. At first launch you’re asked separately about Analytics, Crash reports and Performance; each stays off unless you opt in, and you can change any of them at any time in Settings.
- This data is not linked to your identity. We don’t use the advertising identifier (IDFA), show no ads, and do no cross-app or cross-site tracking — so the app shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
What we never collect
Your lift data (exercises, weights, reps, RPE, history), your name, contacts, precise location, photos, or Health/HealthKit data. We don’t sell data, and we don’t share it with data brokers or advertisers.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated sales and subscription reports only.
Age
LastLift is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. The app asks you to confirm your age before use.
Who processes data for us
Google (Firebase) processes the diagnostics described above on our behalf. Apple processes your iCloud data and your purchases. We use no other third parties.
Your choices & rights
You can turn diagnostics on or off at any time in Settings. You can delete your workout data by deleting it in the app, or by removing the app and its iCloud data from your Apple ID. If you’re in the UK or EEA you have rights under UK GDPR / GDPR (access, deletion, objection); because we hold no identifiable data about you, most requests are satisfied directly on your device — contact us if you need help.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
